New York Film Academy 1 Week Digital Filmmaking Student

I signed up for the 1-Week Digital Filmmaking class because I had limited time in New York and wanted to learn about filmmaking. I thought the experience of shooting in New York would be amazing, and it was!

I chose to study at NYFA because I had already heard back from them and I just loved the idea of the program. It’s only a five day program, but you get your own film done. The teachers were really there to help us even though the program had less class time.

I’ve just arrived from the NYFA 1 week digital filmmaking course in NY. What an exciting experience!

It was a real intensive program. After two days in classes, learning different techniques with competent teachers, we had the opportunity to produce a short film which included shooting in several differents locations — all in the Times Square area.

I just loved this course and the structure that NYFA offers, as far as teachers and equipments.

I will carry this opportunity for the rest of my life.

Thank you NYFA and all of my teammates!

New York Film Academy 2 Year Filmmaking

After my first year studying at New York Film Academy I had really good results with my thesis, so I decided to take a second year to build a great reel and learn even more.

New York Film Academy helped me a lot with the producing techniques and pushed me to learn more about directing than other schools. Also, the conservatory is really intense and it’s all about practicing and making films, not just learning theory.

New York Film Academy is for those who want to take intense workshops and classes.

I chose to study at New York Film Academy because I wanted to learn more about developing story structures and learn more technical information about the filmmaking process. From working in Union Square, I was able to meet NYFA students and hear about their positive experiences attending school here.

I definitely recommend New York Film Academy to others in this field because the teaching is hands-on and the most effective way to learn. This school is everything I hoped for and more.

My goal after studying at New York Film Academy is to write and direct. I’m partial to experimental filmmaking and love the school’s hands-on approach method. The access to equipment and small classes are the reason I chose this school over other schools. The intensive approach works and the focus on filmmaking are why I recommend this to people looking to break into this industry.

After graduating from New York Film Academy I hope to create music videos and movie advertisements.

I chose to come to the New York Film Academy because of the different international students they have attending the school, and the positive reviews I read from critics on the Internet.

In my very first week attending school here I learned so much. I enjoyed the fast paced teaching methods and the location. I did not find these types of valuable teaching methods from other schools. I would recommend New York Film Academy to those looking to get into the industry.

I am studying at the New York Film Academy because I want to expose myself to all the different roles that make a film possible. I want to find my niche as a filmmaker and also build my technical background.

The school has a very hands-on approach that I find to be the most valuable teaching method.

New York Film Academy is better than other schools due to their hands-on technique. I find no better way to learn than actually physically immersing yourself in the project. Attending school here allowed me to live in New York City.

I recommend this school to others trying to get in the industry because the teachers are very accessible, the classes are small, and the training is hands-on.
