After my first year studying at New York Film Academy I had really good results with my thesis, so I decided to take a second year to build a great reel and learn even more.

New York Film Academy helped me a lot with the producing techniques and pushed me to learn more about directing than other schools. Also, the conservatory is really intense and it’s all about practicing and making films, not just learning theory.

The school has a very hands-on approach that I find to be the most valuable teaching method.

New York Film Academy is better than other schools due to their hands-on technique. I find no better way to learn than actually physically immersing yourself in the project. Attending school here allowed me to live in New York City.

While studying at New York Film Academy, I want to build a good portfolio in my second year and send my film into festivals to get things started.

The hands-on approach is the most valuable teaching method. I chose this school because it focuses on filmmaking, rather than general studies like every other school.

I recommend New York Film Academy to prospective students because it’s a good way to try film out first, instead of committing yourself to a 4-year program right away.
